As a Design Consultant at King Living, you will combine technical product expertise with a dedicated consultative approach. Unlike traditional retail, our process is built on understanding the engineering and modularity of the King range to provide long-term living solutions for our clients. Based in our Westfield White City showroom, you will manage a consistent flow of premium retail and trade enquiries, requiring a high level of professional organisation and a commitment to following the customer journey from initial consultation through to post-delivery. We are looking for an individual who takes pride in product knowledge and values the integrity of a well-managed sales pipeline.

Established in 1977, King Living is a family-owned Australian furniture designer, manufacturer and retailer. Innovation, quality, design and comfort are the foundations of our award-winning sofas, loved by Australians and around the world.

Core Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Service

  • Establish and build customer relationships whilst delivering a high level of customer service, face-to-face or over the phone.
  • Provide a holistic sales approach to all customers, including Online, Trade & Commercial, King Care, Despatch, and Customer Service.
  • Assist customers with their purchasing decisions by identifying their needs and suggesting suitable options.
  • Follow up on orders and enquiries to convert quotes, ensuring correct details and pricing are entered into the SAP Portal.
  • Work cohesively with the team to achieve set sales targets and maximise campaign sales.
  • Advise Trade Clients of the application process and procedure.
  • Ensure all Training Modules and daily communications are read and acknowledged.

Brand

  • Maintain all areas in the showroom by keeping it clean and tidy at all times, in line with Centre of Excellence expectations. • Ensure all furniture is displayed perfectly and POS signs are correct as outlined in the Brand/VM guide.

Team Player

  • Promote a positive work environment and adhere to all Company Procedures and Policies.
  • Be punctual and responsible for your rostered shift.
  • Be available for regular weekend work to support the showroom during peak trade periods.
  • Assist the Showroom Manager and Assistant Manager with any other duties as requested.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for long periods, demonstrating products, and lifting up to 10 kg.
  • Moving furniture around the store and climbing step ladders.

Your Capabilities:

  • Experience working with textiles or Interior Design with a keen eye for detail.
  • Confident communication skills and excellent professional presentation.
  • Ability to learn quickly, pick up on customer cues, and remain results-focused.
  • Minimum intermediate computer skills, including data entry.
  • A team player who is flexible and adaptable to assist the greater team.
